Armstrong concludes illustrious Idaho career
Top Performances:
- Emily Hamlin led Boise to the Class 5A girls title with victories in the 3,200 meters (10:49.39), the 1,600 (4:59.50) and the 800 (2:15.03) – sweeping the events for the second straight year.
- Michael Slagowski, a junior from Rocky Mountain, won the Class 5A 3,200 (9:20.90), the 1,600 (4:16.76) and the 800 (1:53.44).
- Brooklyn Daylong from Vallivue threw 152-2 to win the Class 5A girls discus.
- Keanne Alston from Rigby won the Class 4A girls 100-200 sprint double and also anchored her team to the 4x100 title.
- Mikaela Sawyer from Bishop Kelly swept the hurdles races and finished second in the 100 meters to lead her team to the Class 4A girls team championship.
- Saidee Jones from Caldwell threw Idaho-best 42-11.50 to win the Class 4A shot put.
Top Teams:
Top Competition: For the second year in a row, it was a battle of Madison vs. Maddison in the Class 5A girls 200 that drew together the victors of the 100 (Maddison Ward of Lake City, 12.20) and the 400 (Madison Lung of Boise, 55.87). Unlike 2014, this time Lung pulled out the 200 with 24.62 to Ward’s 25.18 (2.9w).
